Rehabilitation Therapy: Providers

Tim Casari, PT, DPT

Tim Casari

Tim has been a hospital-based outpatient physical therapist since graduating from the University of Colorado Denver and Health Sciences Center in 2007. Tim also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University.

He focuses his practice on the treatment and management of many orthopedic conditions; neurological conditions including Bell’s palsy, Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis; lower extremity amputation with prosthetic training; and vestibular disorders. He places high importance on patient education, and enjoys teaching his patients about their conditions. He feels that when given treatment as well as knowledge, they can manage their symptoms not only during their course of treatment, but for their lifetimes.

Tim enjoys all of the outdoor splendors of Colorado with his family, and can be found routinely camping, hunting and riding his mountain bike. He currently splits his treatment time between our Anschutz and Boulder outpatient clinics.

He has practiced since 1983 and has spent a majority of his career focusing on the treatment of chronic conditions integrating traditional (manual) and alternative approaches, and studying the interrelationship between the psychological and physiological aspects of chronic dysfunction and traumatic stress.

He served as the principle physical therapist of the Pain Management Services at the Mapleton Center, a Division of Boulder Community Hospital and was instrumental in bringing the understanding of traumatic stress in the treatment of the chronic pain patient. Marcus lectures nationally with Dr. Robert Scaer, author of “The Body Bears the Burden" and "The Trauma Spectrum."

In cooperation with Sgt. Andrew Pogany, he co-founded the “Operation Just One” movement in Colorado to help recruit healthcare providers to donate time and services to assist veterans in need. He was entered as “Expert Witness in Chronic Pain” in Sterling, Colorado County Court in July 1998.
