The Denver Hospice (formerly Hospice of Metro Denver) offers a variety of support groups to bereaved adults, adolescents and children. Daytime and evening series available.

  • Bereavement Education - A monthly educational program open to adults who are dealing with grief due to the death of a family member or friend.
  • Daytime Drop-In Groups - For adults dealing with grief due to the death of a family member or friend.
  • Newly Bereaved Support Group - A four-week, time-limited support group for adults who have lost a family member in the last 3-4 months.
  • Grieving our Parents - For adults who have experienced the death of one or both of their parents.
  • Younger Bereaved Spouses & Partners - For people 59 and under who have experienced the death of a spouse of partner.
  • Men's Grief Group - A drop-in group for men grieving a loss due to death.
  • Children and Adolescent Groups - For young people 3 to 18 who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Parent/Guardian groups meet simultaneously.
  • Adult Grief Support Groups - Eight or nine-week, time-limited support groups for adults grieving a death loss and seeking to work intensely on their personal grieving process.
  • Caregiver and Family Groups - For friends, relatives and others dealing with a terminal illness prior to death.
  • Friends of Hospice - Social support group for surviving family members or friends of a person cared for by Hospice of Metro Denver.

Facilitated support groups for children ages 3 to 18 who have experienced the death of a loved one. Groups meet every other week for one to two hours. Parents and caretakers also have the option to meet in a facilitated support group to share feelings and receive ideas for helping their children.
