Dear Alumnae et Alumni,

Our class of chaplain residents for the 2011 – 2012 academic year started University Of Colorado Hospital and department orientation Monday, August 22. Then they hit the ground running, rather walking, with a tour of the Anschutz Medical Campus, paying special attention to the School of Medicine Library.

Many thanks to the 2010 – 2011 residents who helped make this a smooth transition for our incoming students and for the UCH organization as a whole. Your work and accomplishments of the last year are appreciated.

The current class of five UCH residents and one ACPE student from Children’s Hospital of Colorado will share and support their ongoing process of learning and the forward-thinking pursuit of University Of Colorado Hospital’s goals: the implementation of the Epic System to provide a unified source of electronic medical records; physical construction of an addition to the cancer center, a Cyber-knife center in the Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion, and addition of inpatient beds and services with the building of a new tower and emergency service area. 

And in the midst of this world, as you have taken your turns over the years, our students will continue the work, serving patients, families, and caregivers.
