CPE Alumni
Dear CPE alumni,
Greetings from University of Colorado Hospital and the clinical pastoral education Center here. We hope that you are thriving in your ministries, whatever those may be.
First, you may have known, heard (or neither) that I had left UCH and the CPE program here. I did. In fact, some of you don't know me at all. I left in June 2005 to move to Tucson while Rob did an oncology fellowship. We returned to Denver a year ago. I returned to UCH in late April of this year. I am Manager of the department and Wayne and I are jointly supervising the CPE programs here.
Second, we are going through our CPE Center's 10 year accreditation and are requesting your participation. For our re-accreditation, we have submitted material regarding our Center and UCH to a site team. They will make a site visit to us October 26-28. As part of their assessment, they would like to meet with alumni to discuss your experiences in CPE at UCH and the impact your education here has had on your ministries. Some of you completed your education here quite some time ago; others of you more recently. Some of you were located at the old 9th Avenue; others of you at the new Anshutz Medical Center; some of you both (so sorry!). Some of you were residents and/or supervisory residents; others of you Level I students. Whether you were here for one unit, one year or multiple years, we would love to have your input and reflections for the site team.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 27, 3:45-5 PM in the hospital chapel. Yes, there will be food. And, yes, we will pay for your parking. For those of you not familiar with the new hospital chapel or campus, please refer to our map page.
