Professional Resources Clinical Orientation Program at University of Colorado Hospital
The Department of Professional Resources offers clinical orientation to familiarize clinical personnel with policies, procedures, equipment and skills utilized in their job settings. A variety of University of Colorado Hospital CNS/Educators and staff present on topics including patient/family education, team communication, patient comfort and safety, to name a few.
Orientees have the opportunity to work as a CARE Team member to sharpen their computer skills and practice various hands-on skills with vascular access, infusion pumps, restraints and glucometers in a safe lab environment while being mentored by CNS/Educators. The time spent in orientation helps to acquaint new members of the University of Colorado Hospital community with their future peers.
