Cancer Genetics Network

The CGN is a national registry  of individuals and families at varying risk for cancer. This registry provides an infrastructure for conducting studies aimed at gene discovery and characterization, and intervention studies targeted at high-risk individuals. Over 4,000 cancer cases and family members have been enrolled locally, and there are more than 23,000 individuals enrolled in the entire CGN. (PI Dennis Ahnen, funded by NCI)

Colorectal Cancer Family Registry

The CCFR  is an international cancer family registry that serves as a resource for conducting colon cancer research. Current and future research utilizing this registry includes studies of environmental, genetic and behavioral risk factors for colon cancer as well as studies addressing survivorship issues. There are approximately 500 subjects from 300 families enrolled in the CCFR locally, and there are over 2,000 families enrolled nation-wide. (PI Dennis Ahnen, funded by NCI)

Colorado Generations

This is a service project to increase awareness about hereditary cancer among primary care providers and at-risk Coloradans. This program offers a streamlined referral process for genetic counseling that increases access to these services and pay for counseling when needed for uninsured patients. (PI Jan Lowery, funded by Colorado tobacco tax)
