- Filling your prescriptions at a UCH Pharmacy allows us to retain savings within the system to use toward keeping future premiums affordable.
- When you fill your prescriptions at one of the UCH Pharmacies, not only do you benefit, but the plan benefits - which helps us all.
Extended Supply for maintenance and long-term prescriptions (90-day supply)
Please note that in order to maximize efficiency and minimize cost, the Mail Order service will be required for refilling maintenance drugs after the initial 90-day fill. You will benefit from the advantages of 90-day pricing which means you get a 3 months supply for the price of a 2 month co-pay. This could mean a savings of up to $240 per year per prescription. In addition, you may opt to pick up the order at one of the UCH Pharmacy counters.
If you initially choose to fill your prescription at a retail location (for example, a chain drugstore) using your insurance benefits, you will be required to transition to the UCH Mail Order Prescription Service after 90 days of your retail purchase. The 90-day period is permitted to allow you and your physician to stabilize the dosage and medication choice. After this 90 day period, you must transfer your prescription to one of the UCH Pharmacies or the Mail Order system. Of course, you may also set up your prescription immediately with the Mail Order system and take advantage of the "three months for the price of two" pricing.
