The University of Colorado Hospital adopted a color-coded uniform program in February 2004 as a patient and family- entered care initiative. These are the colors for each discipline:

• RN—royal blue
• CNA—ciel blue
• RT, AHT, Pharmacy, Clinical Lab—eggplant
• OT, PT, ST—misty green
• LPN, ACP—caribbean blue
• Radiology—charcoal

The hospital has negotiated a price discount of 20-35% off of retail prices on scrubs, T-shirts, warm up jackets, pants and lab coats.
