Dr. Razzaghi received her medical degree, with honors, from Iran University of Medical Sciences in Tehran. She completed her OB/GYN residency in 1993. During her medical school training and residency she actively engaged in teaching and genetics research.
Dr. Razzaghi moved to the United States in 1994. She continued her involvement in research activity in the genetics department at University of Pittsburgh, where she helped establish a new molecular genetic technique, Comparative Genomic Hybridization (CGH). She later completed internship and residency in internal medicine at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh and started fellowship in medical genetics at Magee Women's Hospital, University of Pittsburgh.
After joining her husband in Denver in November, 2002, Dr. Razzaghi became involved with medical care of women in a clinic run by the State of Colorado Department of Corrections. Dr. Razzaghi was responsible for clinical care as well as administrative duties for the women's clinic. Dr. Razzaghi joined the faculty of the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center in November, 2005 and started seeing patients at the University of Colorado Hospital Women's Integrated Services in Health (WISH) program in March, 2006.
