Breastfeeding Assistance
Breastfeeding is feeding a baby with the milk produced in the mother's breasts. During pregnancy, hormones cause mammary glands (glands in the breast) to get ready to lactate (produce milk). When a baby is born and begins to suck on the breast nipple, milk will begin to come through tiny openings to feed the baby.
Breastfeeding is the most natural and healthy way to feed and nurture your baby. Even though this is a natural process, it is not always easy. Many mothers need extra help when they get home from the hospital.
