The Center for Integrative Medicine at University of Colorado Hospital
University of Colorado Hospital's Center for Integrative Medicine (TCIM) offers physician-managed care that emphasizes the wellness and healing of the entire person.
Read about us
About Integrative Medicine. Integrative Medicine is the blending of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM ) therapies with conventional care for the prevention and treatment of health conditions.
The correct “balance” of CAM and conventional treatment is individualized, taking into account not only the medical condition but also the person – what may be appropriate for one person isn’t necessarily right for the next person with the same condition.
A collaborative care team. The professional practitioners at TCIM will partner with each other, your other health care providers at UCH (physicians, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, and other members of your health care team), and any outside providers to help you get the most out of both CAM and conventional care.
In addition to providing guidance on the incorporation of CAM therapies with conventional care, we also provide the specialty care within the UCH system for fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue.
Our Center for Integrative Medicine Offers:
- Treatment that is safe, and compatible with conventional care
- Communication with your conventional health care provider(s) to ensure that everyone is working together for your benefit
- Care that is individualized to your personal physical, spiritual, emotional and psychosocial need
