"The Pink Life Saver"
Mobile mammography from UCH
Too often, a woman's busy schedule makes it hard to keep a mammogram appointment. In fact, the American Cancer Society cites the top two reasons women give for not getting a mammogram are time and convenience.
The Pink Life Saver, University of Colorado Hospital's "mobile mammography" coach, aims to change that by bringing the often life-saving benefits of mammography to time-saving, convenient locations around the Denver area.

The Pink Life Saver is a mobile mammography coach that travels to different locations in the metro Denver area. It's equipped with the latest digital imaging technology, ensuring the highest level of diagnostic accuracy.
Funding for the Pink Life Saver came from UCH's "Men for the Cure" event, an annual fundraiser held by the University of Colorado Hospital Foundation, and King Soopers.
How do I make an appointment?
Making a mammogram appointment on The Pink Life Saver is easy - just call (720) 848-1030.
Do I need a prescription for a mammogram?
Is there a fee?

Due to hospital guidelines, the Pink Life Saver is unable to provide mammograms to these women:
- Those diagnosed with breast cancer within the past two years

- Women who are breast feeding or who have breast fed in the last 6 months

Rolling to a clinic near you . . .

An idea that went mobile
In October 2012 the hospital's award-winning e-newsletter, UCH Insider, ran a story about the creation of this "mobile mammography coach."
