Your Adult Medical Genetics Team at University of Colorado Hospital

The Adult Medical Genetics Clinic is primarily staffed by:

Dr. Matthew Taylor, MD, PhD, completed training in internal medicine and clinical genetics at the University of Colorado Health Science Center and has been directing the Adult Medical Genetics Clinic since 2001. 

Ms. Jean Jirikowic, MS CGC received her genetic counseling training at the prestigious Sarah Lawrence College graduate program (the largest and one of the longest-running programs in the United States). She has over 15 years' experience working with adults with genetic conditions. 

Ms. Cari Wells, MS CGC received her genetic counseling training from Sarah Lawrence College.  She has over 5 years' experience working in clinical genetics, which includes working with adults who have, or are at-risk for, genetic conditions.

The clinic staff also includes rotating genetic counseling students, internal medicine residents, and clinical genetics fellows.
