Testicular Cancer Treatment at the University of Colorado Cancer Center

Testicular cancer occurs when cancer forms in the tissues of one or both testicles (the egg-shaped glands that produce sperm and testosterone). An estimated 7,900 new cases will be diagnosed in 2007.

• A majority of testicular cancers develop in germ cells (the cells that produce sperm); these are known as germ cell tumors
• Stromal tumors are another kind of testicular cancer; they grow in other parts of the testicles
