Vaginal cancer is an extremely rare cancer. An estimated 2,140 new cases will be diagnosed in the United States during 2007. Vaginal cancer forms in the tissues of the vagina (birth canal). The vagina leads from the cervix (the opening of the uterus) to the outside of the body.
