Extrahepatic Bile Duct Cancer Treatment at the University of Colorado Cancer Center
A system of bile ducts connects your liver, your gall bladder and small intestine. Your extrahepatic bile duct is the part of the duct outside your liver. Extrahepatic bile duct cancer forms on that part of the duct. It is a rare kind of cancer.
According to the American Cancer Society, about 4,600 people in the United States will develop bile duct cancer in 2007.
We Specialize in Extrahepatic Bile Duct Cancer
There are more than 100 different types of cancer. To ensure that we are always leading care at the cutting edge, UCCC has expert teams that each specialize in a small number of different cancer types. Because we are sub-specialized in cancers of the gastrointestinal system, we have treated the most common and the rarest types of cancer.
