A study to evaluate the long-term safety of a drug that stops red blood cells from dehydrating.

A study to show if doses of nitric oxide gas can reduce painful bouts caused by sickle cell anemia.

A study of sickle cell patients who have been treated with a specific drug for high blood pressure in the lungs (pulmonary hypertension). The study will evaluate the effects of the drug on the patients.
