CeDAR utilizes both a formal and milieu assessment
process to provide greater diagnostic certainty.
CeDAR's formal assessment is performed by our care team and is tailored to meet the needs of all parties involved. It includes:
- Medical history and physical examination
- Laboratory profile
- Addiction assessment
- Psychiatric evaluation
- Family assessment
- Spiritual assessment
- Psychological screening as necessary
The milieu assessment segment allows CeDAR staff to gather information in a structured setting as well as review collateral information provided by the individual, referent and family.
Assessment results
Following the assessment and review of collateral information, the multidisciplinary team prepares a detailed report. CeDAR's outcome assessment includes:
- A verbal summary of the findings and recommendations given to the referring party within 24 hours
- A written version of the summary sent to the referring party within seven to 10 days
