Addiction is a biological, psycho-social and spiritual disease. It destroys families, relationships, careers and ultimately individuals from all walks of life. CeDAR provides a proven, intensive and time-tested holistic and 12-Step based treatment approach in a 30-day residential stay designed for individuals age 18 and older. It provides the seeds of recovery necessary for the opportunity to live and grow in a life free of addiction.
Our experience and research supports treatment that includes daily counseling, therapy groups, 12-Step involvement, exercise, and establishing a healthy spiritual foundation. We have built our intensive residential treatment program around these principles to provide the help necessary for the seeds of recovery to begin growing.
Co-occurring Disorders
Another reason CeDAR stands out as a world-class facility is quality treatment for co-occurring disorders like depression, bi-polar, post-traumatic stress and gambling. Each individual sees a physician as well as an attending psychiatrist within 24 hours of admission. They determine if there is a co-occurring condition present and develop a behavioral care plan to treat both the chemical dependency and co-occurring disorder.
Gambling Addiction
CeDAR offers a residential setting to individuals with a chemical dependency and co-occurring gambling addiction. National data indicate between 40% - 60% of people who have a gambling problem have been or are addicted to some chemical. In addition to the chemical dependency services, our certified compulsive gambling counselors provide education, individual sessions and group therapy. We also offer Gamblers Anonymous (GA) instruction and meetings. The GA 20-Question form is part of our regular assessment process.
