Oncology Rehabilitation
Clinical Implications for Healthcare Providers
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This two day course will help the clinician better understand cancer, its causes, current medical options, typical side-effects, and current oncology rehab protocols in order to make sound clinical decisions when treating patients with cancer. Participants will gain an understanding of:
OBJECTIVES
- Review cancer etiology, risk, & prevention
- Discussion of secondary impairments resulting from cancer treatments with special emphasis of Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant throughout the treatment spectrum
- Review the exercise implications before, during, and post-cancer treatments
- Identify exercise prescription and components of a comprehensive cancer rehabilitative programs
- Illustrate some oncology rehabilitation role in end of life care
- Illustrate some oncology rehabilitation principles through review case studies
Continuing Education Credit:
10.6 Continuing Education Contact Hours are pending approval for Occupational Therapists (American Occupational Therapy Association).
Continuing nursing education contact hours are pending approval and will be available to those who attend this program in its entirety and complete an online evaluation.
Partial CE will NOT be awarded.

Your tuition minus a $10.00 processing fee will be refunded if notified in writing prior to the course. There will be no tuition refunds granted if notified on day of course or after this date for non-attendance.
University of Colorado Hospital reserves the right to cancel an offering at any time. Should this happen, a full refund will be made. Tuition cannot be transferred to another course.
University of Colorado Hospital is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Colorado Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
