Join us for our inaugural 5K Fun Run to support The Pink Life Saver mobile mammography program. The Wellness Council of University of Colorado Hospital is hosting a 5K Fun Run to help raise money and awareness for breast cancer. After skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in women who work at University of Colorado Health and in the United States. Breast cancer can occur in both men and women, but is most common in women. Early detection of breast cancer saves thousands of lives each year and too often a women's busy schedule makes it hard to keep a mammogram appointment. The Pink Life Saver, University of Colorado Hospital's "mobile mammography" coach, aims to change that by bringing the often life-saving benefits of mammography to time-saving, convenient locations around the Denver area. Please help us keep this program running and saving lives.
