Department of Rehabilitation presents:
Strap Taping as an Adjunct Rehabilitation Course Offering
This class is appropriate for all levels and will cover theoretical and practical application of strap taping (using Leukotape or similar products) for orthopedic conditions of the foot, ankle, knee, hip, back, shoulder, elbow wrist and hand. Current evidence, techniques introduced by McConnell and Mulligan, and other techniques will be demonstrated.
- Discuss current evidence using strap taping
- Select and apply appropriate taping techniques depending on the therapy assessment
- Identify taping precautions and contraindications
- Assess effectiveness of taping before and after application
- Understand billing, reimbursement, and documentation
CEU's will not be awarded. However, this course does qualify as 5 contact hours for OTs and PTs.
