ADVANCED Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to provide registered nurses and other healthcare professionals with an advanced understanding of the components and operations of the Nx Stage® System One. In addition the course will provide instruction and hands-on practical learning with troubleshooting alarm conditions, both common and uncommon, and performance of uncommon procedures.
- Review CRRT modes and identify the components of NxStage System One.
- Demonstrate CRRT setup and initiation.
- Review and demonstrate commone procedures.
- Discuss basics of troubleshooting.
- Discuss and apply troubleshooting principles to common alarms of the blood circuit.
- Discuss and apply troubleshooting principles to common alarms of the fluid circuit.
- Discuss and apply troubleshooting principles to air alarms.
- Review conditions that commonly occur during initiation of treatment.

Continuing Nursing Education Credit: 3.75 continuing nursing education contact hours will be awarded to participants who attend the course in its entirety and complete an evaluation.

University of Colorado Hospital reserves the right to cancel an offering at any time. Should this happen, a full refund will be made. Tuition cannot be transferred to another course.

Parking at the Anschutz Medical Campus is by fee or by permit only. Parking for this activity is available in the Ignacio, Georgetown, or Cheyenne Wells parking lots. All are indicated with a red X on the attached map. Cash/Coin/Credit Card accepted. Handicapped visitor parking is also available.
