Advanced Management of Patients Post Cardiac Surgery
This activity is designed for professional nurses to review advanced management of the immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patient.
- Discuss preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of cardiac surgery
- Describe potential complications and interventions observed in specific operations.
- Relate hemodynamic monitoring concepts to the anatomical and physiologic characteristics of the cardiac and vascular systems after cardiac surgery
- Explain the essential monitoring skills used during the first 48 hours after cardiac surgery
CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT
4 contact hours will be awarded to nurses who attend this program in its entirety and complete the course evaluation.
