Cancer Center Expansion Campaign at University of Colorado Hospital

Help us welcome more who hear unwelcome news

Too many people hear the words "you have cancer." Maybe you know someone who has heard those words. Maybe you've heard them yourself.

It's a serious pronouncement. But thanks to terrific progress made by a handful of top cancer centers, including the University of Colorado Cancer Center, more and more people who hear those words go on to lead long, active, productive lives.

We're running out of space

We want to continue serving our patients with the highest level of care. But we're nearing a point at which we might have to turn people away: simply put, we're running out of space.

We need more room for our patients, physicians, nurses and other caregivers, as well as for hundreds of people who come to us but who are asked to wait.

More and more patients need us

Since we opened on the Anschutz Medical Campus in 2001, we've seen an 89 percent increase in patient visits to our cancer clinics.

We think it's because people are treated here by the region's broadest, deepest and most-honored array of physicians, specialized nurses, researchers, and caregivers.

And we think that good news travels fast: medical outcomes at the Cancer Center are up to 30 percent higher than state averages for many kinds of cancer.

How you can help us expand our world-class care

Your generous donation to the University of Colorado Hospital Foundation will help us build a 36,800 square foot expansion to the hospital's current Cancer Center facility, significantly expanding our capacity to diagnose and treat cancer patients.
