RTOG 1005 - A PHASE III TRIAL OF ACCELERATED WHOLE BREAST IRRADIATION WITH HYPOFRACTIONATION PLUS CONCURRENT BOOST VERSUS STANDARD WHOLE BREAST IRRADIATION PLUS SEQUENTIAL BOOST FOR EARLY-STAGE BREAST CANCER

Objective
The purpose of this study is to compare radiation therapy given with a higher daily dose over 3 weeks with a boost given each day of radiation therapy compared with the slower whole breast radiation approach followed by a boost given on separate days

Eligibility and Other Participant Information
What To Expect : A screening period to determine eligibility. Radiation therapy will take approximately 3 to 6 ยข weeks to complete depending on which group you are placed in. Follow up visits will be scheduled at 1 month, 6 months, and annually from the end of radiation therapy. // Eligibility criteria include but are not limited to 18 years or older, with early-stage breast cancer.
